Saturday, May 31st, the TSRA Red River Chapter had our quarterly meeting at Maxey Rifleman Gun Club (TSRA Business Member). We had eight members in attendance, including all officers and two new members. We discussed meeting every other month in the future, as well as several other meeting place options. We discussed recruitment opportunities at various events coming up in Lamar County. The official meeting was adjourned, but we continued getting to know each other for the rest of the meeting. We were invited to use the range for the morning.
TSRA Chapters are a networking opportunity for existing and potential TSRA Members alike. There are currently three chapters as a pilot program, where individuals and businesses are encouraged to communicate with their local Chapter to attend or plan an event, encourage new members to join, and communicate with like-minded others.

Members of the Red River Chapter met at Maxey Rifleman Gun Club for networking and new opportunities.
Maxey Rifleman Gun Club began as the Maxey Rifleman Black Powder Club with the initial plan to gather in Paris, TX, and shoot black powder firearms. In 1984, that group had grown to 23 people, and they met to officially start a shooting club. By 2021, the private club had grown to over 700 members!
