We Do Not Want This To Happen Here

A new firearms legislation went into effect in Massachusetts on October 2nd. The law was implemented 3 weeks early.

Massachusetts gives a 90-day waiting period between the signing of a law and the effective date. This left room for Gun Rights advocates to secure signatures, in anticipation of the original October 23rd effective date of the law. They needed close to 50,000 signatures to have the opportunity to suspend the bill before it took effect. Leary of those signatures, Democratic Governor Maura Healey signed an Emergency Preamble on October 2nd to block the advocates.

Liberal outlets have promoted the law as one that goes after “ghost guns.” It has been shared as affecting firearm accessories such as bump stocks. But most shockingly and most important, the law affects individuals making a firearm purchase.

It unconstitutionally requires applicants to complete a live-fire training just to purchase a firearm.

We do not want this to happen here.

Massachusetts is not in our backyard, but the fight for the preservation of our Second Amendment rights is outside our door.

Our fight is never over.

You can continue the fight to secure your rights in this country by voting in the Presidential election this November. You can continue the fight within Texas by supporting the TSRA PAC.
